Castro is named after the mountain stream that runs through the Fattoria il Muro estate. They call it “baby Super Tuscan,” traditional in its super Tuscan blend but aged for only six months in used barrels, so it remains fresh and easy to drink.
Ruby towards brick red in color, with striking aromatics invoking coffee and dark chocolate, cassis and black cherries. The palate is silky smooth with a burst of sweet fruits balanced by earthy, savory notes, fragrant herbal characters, and peppery hints.
