Barbera Superiore was one of Olivetta’s first products and is definitely their signature wine. A complex wine, aged in wooden barrels for 12 months, with a good structure and characteristics that will make you appreciate it over time, also thanks to a small percentage of Freisa grapes.

Manual
Fermentation in temperature-controlled vitrified concrete tanks and long maceration of the skin and seeds in the wine. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in early spring. No filtrations prior to bottling. Aging for 12 months in 23 HL oak barrels.
A deep, ruby red wine, with generous and persistent aromas characterized by hints of ripe fruit including blackberries, plums, and black cherries, perfectly balanced with soft spicy notes. Full-bodied, soft and velvety. Complex, with notes of red fruits, supported by a delicate acidity and sweet, uniform tannins.
An autumn evening, Alessandria-style chickpea soup (with pork ribs) and a glass of Superiore, what else?!
